NZ Jet Sprint Association

We have just had the Jet Sprint AGM and awards night dinner and after party, a brief reoprt as I am feeling the effects of all this activity after a long working week away again.

The Copthorne Hotel in New Plymouth was the venue and worked well for the numbers there, possibly the help of a microphone and speaker may have made it easier to hear everything but the venue worked ok.

Dates for the 2019 Championship were released with a possible change on 2 from Sunday to Saturday but that will be confirmed very soon, I will enter the rest of the dates onto our site soon.

Remits were few and debated amongst the competitors and settled quite amicably and discussion will occur between the UIM and Australian Jet Sprint Association on some issues to have common rules and competition.

Awards night was well run with the usual humour and heckling from the assembled mass. This is part of the uniqueness of Jet Sprinters, the comardrie and humour brings a totally enjoyable aspect to the sport.

Our RSQKRU attendees enjoyed the “dancing” or that’s what one would loosely call the moves being busted out by some of our group.

We look forward to the first round once again at Wanganui’s Shelter View Track on December 27 2018.
